GPL Electric Start Kits

Recreational Mobility is a stocking distributor for GPL aftermarket electric start kits for all Rotax 2 cycle aircraft engines. This unique starter system engages the flywheel at a 90 degree angle, thereby saving precious room at the rear of the engine. Mounting positions include 1/5/7/ and 11 o'clock positions. Unlike standard Rotax starter systems, the GPL starter allows you to optionally retain your pull start (order Sku #19313) capability, and oil injection system (if present)! A cover plate (supplied standard) is fit instead of the pull starter if room constraints require. 

For comparison with Rotax, the equivalent is the 'E' Box. Using the Rotax 'E' box, the pull start is at the mag end of the engine, while the electric start motor is at the gearbox. With the GPL starter, the pull start AND the electric start are both at the mag end of the engine.

The GPL electric starter will not disable the engine, should the starter malfunction, so it is the safest combination starter available! The electric starter comes in a kit with easy installation instructions and all hardware. GPL starters are the best after market electric starters available for Rotax, and are American made. The electric starter weighs only 10 pounds. Replacement parts are available.

	Basic		Deluxe
	Basic system includes starter and all components for mounting the starter itself. This system is great for replacing a failed current starter, when all other components are already installed.		Deluxe starter kit includes starter, ring gear, solenoid, mounting hardware, regulator / rectifier. Your choice of starter cable lengths of 5', 9', or 11' are included.
