features, & options increase on kit aircraft, financing is a fairly
common question among potential buyers. Perhaps you may not need to
finance the purchase...with interest rates as low as they are, why tie
up your funds while you build your kit?
One source of financing is through your
local bank whom you already have a relationship with. Be advised
however, that many banks will not work with aircraft loans. Even fewer
will finance a aircraft kit. Interest rates are low right now, however
an aircraft is a 'luxury item', so rates will be higher then they would
be for a home or car. Insurance will be required to cover the cost of
the loan from the lender.
